GMC has unveiled the results of the 2025 GMC Yukon facelift, giving us a closer look at the changes in this full-size SUV.
Following the updates to the 2025 GMC Terrain, we now turn our attention to the 2025 GMC Yukon, the most luxurious version of the Chevrolet Tahoe, to see what enhancements have been made.
While the front of the 2025 GMC Yukon has received minor tweaks, the most significant updates are found inside the cabin and under the hood, where the diesel engine has been given a power boost. Additionally, the introduction of a new AT4 Ultimate trim adds a layer of luxury to the off-road model.

Inside:
The most noticeable difference is inside the 2025 GMC Yukon, both literally and figuratively, thanks to a new 16.8-inch vertically oriented central touchscreen. This expansive display allows users to customize various functions, including maps and audio settings. This new screen is standard, and for those who want even more digital control, there’s an optional 8-inch horizontal screen for second-row passengers.
The introduction of this screen marks a significant departure from the 2024 Yukon, leading to a complete redesign of the dashboard. The updated layout features vertically aligned air vents on either side of the screen and a digital instrument cluster housed in a Y-shaped frame behind the steering wheel. Despite these advancements, a row of physical buttons remains below the screen for easy access to commonly used functions.
2025 GMC Yukon Driver Assistance Features
While the 2025 GMC Yukon doesn’t introduce new technology alongside the screen upgrade, it does enhance its suite of standard driver assistance features. These now include rear cross-traffic braking, side cyclist alert, front pedestrian and cyclist braking, and automatic emergency braking at intersections. The advanced Super Cruise system remains optional, as does Night Vision with thermal detection.
Mechanical Specifications
Under the hood, the engine lineup of the 2025 GMC Yukon remains consistent with the previous model year, with one key enhancement.
The 3.0-liter Duramax turbodiesel V6 engine is now available across all trims, including the 2025 GMC Yukon AT4, marking its first inclusion in this trim. This engine now delivers 305 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque, an increase from the previous model’s 277 horsepower. The 2025 GMC Yukon’s maximum towing capacity remains steady at 7,800 pounds.
New AT4 Ultimate Trim
For 2025, the GMC Yukon lineup introduces the AT4 Ultimate trim, which brings added luxury to the rugged AT4 model. This top-tier version includes exclusive leather seats, wood accents, a front skid plate, and 20-inch wheels. The AT4 Ultimate also features an air suspension system that can raise the vehicle by 2 inches for improved off-road performance.
Denali Ultimate Trim
The Denali Ultimate remains the flagship of the 2025 GMC Yukon lineup, offering 24-inch wheels, a premium 22-speaker Bose audio system, wood and chrome accents throughout the cabin, and 16-way massaging front seats.
2025 GMC Yukon Exterior Design
Externally, the 2025 GMC Yukon features subtle changes, including design elements inspired by the GMC Sierra EV. The front end showcases new headlights positioned between larger C-shaped running lights, all framing a prominent grille unique to each model.
2025 GMC Yukon Pricing
GMC will announce the official pricing for the 2025 GMC Yukon later this year, but the starting price is expected to be in the $60,000 range.
