2025 Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch: The Ultimate Off-Road Adventure Vehicle

2025 Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch The Ultimate Off-Road Adventure Vehicle

The latest adventure-ready vehicle, the 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch, has made its debut online, giving us a glimpse of its outstanding off-road capabilities before its official release.

Key Highlights of the 2025 Model:

  • The Sasquatch package can now be added to the Outer Banks or Badlands trims of the new Bronco Sport.
  • This package includes Bilstein shocks, all-terrain tires, skid plates, and other off-road enhancements.
  • Every 2025 Bronco Sport features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen.

The Origin of the Sasquatch Name:

  • In mythology, Sasquatch is a legendary giant ape said to roam the forests of North America. For Ford, the Sasquatch represents an off-road upgrade package designed to tackle legendary trails—or create new ones. This year, the package moves from the larger Bronco to its smaller sibling, the 2025 Bronco Sport.

Comparing the Sasquatch Package on the Bronco and Bronco Sport:

  • While not identical across the two models, the approach is similar. Both feature 17-inch carbon-alloy wheels, but the Bronco Sport gets 29-inch Goodyear Territory All-Terrain tires (235/65/R17), whereas the Bronco Sasquatch rides on 35-inch Goodyear Territory Mud-Terrains. The Bronco Sport Sasquatch conquered muddy terrains deep in Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains. Ford equips the Bronco Sport Sasquatch with five steel plates beneath the body, raising it 0.6 inches higher than the Bronco Sport Badlands, and includes a redesigned front bumper for tougher off-road conditions. The vehicle also has two integrated tow hooks on the subframe and a raised rear bumper with D-rings. The Sasquatch package reduces towing capacity to 1,225 kilograms. The bumpers offer an approach angle of 31.2 degrees (compared to 30 on the standard Badlands) and a departure angle of 27.9 degrees (versus 26.7 on the Badlands without the Sasquatch package).

Mechanical Specifications:

  • The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch is powered by two engine options:
    • A 1.5-liter turbocharged three-cylinder engine producing 181 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission that powers all four wheels.
    • The Badlands trim offers a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine delivering 245 horsepower and 373 Nm of torque, or up to 250 horsepower and 375 Nm on premium fuel.
  • The Sasquatch package enhances the turbocharged four-cylinder engine with a larger cooling fan, increasing from 650 watts to 850 watts, enabling the Badlands Sasquatch to push harder, faster, and longer, likely in Rally mode. Additionally, the Outer Banks Sasquatch now inherits the Badlands’ dual-clutch rear-wheel drive unit and a locking rear differential for better torque distribution to the rear wheels.

Interior:

  • The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch features a new standard 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster. The Badlands Sasquatch offers seven drive modes accessible via the console selector: Rally, Rock Crawl, Normal, Eco, Sport, Slippery, and Off-Road. The console now includes grab handles for added stability.
  • A unique gauge for measuring pitch, roll, and other key off-road metrics is prominently displayed on the center screen.
  • In off-road or rally modes, the Off-Road Camera System activates on the 13.2-inch touchscreen, now standard on all trims. These new angles allow you to see under the front axle. Even the Bronco Sport without the Sasquatch package features a surround-view camera system to provide visibility under the front wheels.

Pricing:

  • The 2025 Bronco Sport, set to hit the market in late 2024, starts at $31,590, including a $1,595 destination fee.
  • The Outer Banks Sasquatch package adds $3,535, but requires the $5,230 Tech package, bringing the total for the Bronco Sport Outer Banks Sasquatch to $41,810.
  • The 2025 Ford Bronco Sport Sasquatch Badlands Edition starts at $44,580.
