The new 2025 Cadillac Optiq 2025 was unveiled after much anticipation. Its exterior and interior images were released, along with the specifications of the latest 2025 models.
The Cadillac Lyriq was the first fully electric vehicle to carry the Cadillac logo, and now its successor, the Cadillac Optiq, has officially followed.
The Optiq, the latest addition to the 2025 Cadillac lineup, is similar in size to the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox EV. Both vehicles share the same 85-kilowatt battery. However, the Cadillac is a step ahead in terms of luxury compared to the Chevrolet.
Specifications of the new 2025 Cadillac Optiq:
This luxury electric crossover SUV features a standard all-wheel drive system, a standard Super Cruise driver assistant, 300 horsepower, 480 Nm of torque, and a range of up to 483 km (300 miles) on a single electric charge.
Comparing these new Cadillac performance numbers with the Equinox electric car, the Chevrolet can cover up to 459 km (285 miles) on a single charge and offers 288 horsepower and 451 Nm of torque.
Both the Cadillac Optiq and the 2024 Chevrolet Equinox can charge at the same DC fast charging speed of 150 kilowatts.
Exterior Design:
In terms of exterior appearance, the new Cadillac is distinctly different from its Chevrolet counterpart. The Optiq resembles the Cadillac Lyriq, especially with the distinctive vertical lighting elements at the front, while the rear is reminiscent of a smaller Cadillac Escalade IQ. The side rear quarter glass features geometric embellishments, adding a unique touch.
Interior Features
The interior of the 2025 Cadillac Optiq surpasses even the Lyriq in quality. Some cabin surfaces are upholstered with 100% recycled yarn, and the wood accents are made from a 50/50 mix of recycled newspapers and tulip wood. The design elements complement each other, and the large 33-inch screen adds a modern aesthetic.
Standard Specifications
The Optiq will be the first Cadillac to feature Super Cruise as standard, a significant addition. It’s rare to find other cars in the American automaker’s lineup offering a hands-free driving system as standard, making the Optiq’s value more evident to consumers. All-wheel drive (AWD) is the only drivetrain option, providing greater value compared to the Equinox EV. A 19-speaker audio system is also standard, an upgrade from the Lyriq’s standard 7-speaker system.
The American company estimates the starting price of the new 2025 Cadillac Optiq at $54,000, or approximately 202,500 Saudi riyals. Production of the electric crossover will begin in the fall of 2024, with cars likely arriving at dealerships shortly thereafter.
