Toyota is shaking things up with the 2025 bZ4X by making the electric SUV more affordable than ever. With significant price reductions and the introduction of a new Nightshade Edition, Toyota is positioning the bZ4X to better compete in the increasingly crowded EV market.
Dramatic Price Drops for the 2025 Model Year
The 2025 Toyota bZ4X sees a major price revision compared to the outgoing model. The base XLE trim now starts at $38,465 (approximately 144,243 Saudi Riyals), a substantial $6,000 drop from the 2024 model’s price. Opting for all-wheel drive pushes the starting price to $40,545 (or 152,043 Saudi Riyals).
The higher-tier Limited trim also benefits from a price cut, now starting at $43,195 (about 161,981 Saudi Riyals) for the front-wheel-drive version. If you prefer all-wheel drive, the price begins at $45,275 (or 169,781 Saudi Riyals). This reflects a $5,380 reduction over last year’s model.

Introducing the Nightshade Edition
Adding some visual flair to the lineup, Toyota has introduced the Nightshade Edition for the 2025 bZ4X. This new variant features standard all-wheel drive and sleek blacked-out design elements. The Nightshade’s exterior is accented with black logos, door handles, and a rear spoiler, paired with distinctive 20-inch black alloy wheels. Buyers can also opt for a two-tone paint scheme, combining either Wind Chill Pearl or Heavy Metal with a contrasting black roof.
Inside, the Nightshade Edition elevates the cabin’s aesthetics with sporty red stitching on the seats and steering wheel, giving the interior a bolder look. Pricing for this trim starts at $41,815 (around 156,806 Saudi Riyals).
More Than Just Price Cuts
Beyond the attractive pricing and new trim, the 2025 bZ4X receives notable technology enhancements. The Limited trim now comes equipped with upgraded driver assistance features, including:
- Traffic Jam Assist
- Lane Keeping Assist
- Forward Cross Traffic Alert
These additions enhance safety and driving convenience, making the bZ4X more appealing for daily use and long drives.

Addressing the Sales Challenge
Despite Toyota’s reputation and engineering prowess, the bZ4X has struggled to gain traction in the EV market. Through September, Toyota sold just 13,577 units of the bZ4X, a stark contrast to the 35,626 Ford Mustang Mach-Es sold during the same period. The aggressive pricing strategy and new features aim to close that gap and attract more buyers to Toyota’s electric SUV.
Arrival Timeline
Toyota plans to roll out the 2025 bZ4X to dealerships in early 2025, offering consumers a more competitive, stylish, and value-packed electric crossover.
With these changes, the 2025 bZ4X is poised to turn more heads and, hopefully, boost Toyota’s standing in the competitive EV market.
