In this article we will be discussing the possibility of an upcoming Dodge Charger Redeye, as the car’s name was mistakenly mentioned on an ad that was posted on Facebook, specifically on Dodge fan page.
First of all there shouldn’t be any reason that Dodge wouldn’t introduce a Redeye badged Charger and we at ArabGT believe it’s very likely for the American Company to do so, especially that Dodge is not presenting a new generation of Charger and Challenger anytime soon.
The guys at Mopar Insiders website scooped up a sponsored Facebook post that mentioned the name Dodge Charger SRT Redeye, The post read, “Turn some heads with every turn with the aggressive styling of the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye.” And it had an image of a striped Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat. But nothing is confirmed yet!
As you remember, dear Arab GT followers, our colleague Suhaib Shashaa has test-driven the Muscle Car Dodge Challenger SRT Redeye in an episode of Special Coverage program.
The car we tested is powered by a supercharged 6.2-liter 8-cylinder engine generating 797 hp and 959 Nm, which enables the rear-wheel-drive vehicle to go from zero up to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds, with a top speed of 326 km / h.
So we expect The Dodge Charger Redeye to share the same powertrain of its sister, the 2019 Challenger SRT Redeye 2019, meaning it will also be powered by a 6.2-liter V8 engine generating 797 hp
Whether this was a mistake or an intentional marketing stunt, Mopar Insiders sources say the Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye project is still alive “we should be hearing something possibly around this summer” they said.
Once official information is available to our Arab GT team announcing the coming of the Redeye version of the American Dodge Charger sedan, we will provide it to you immediately, God willing.
