Today we got the first set of official photos of the Korean minivan, the 2021 Kia Carnival, which is also called Kia Sedona in the American market.
The first generation was made in the years from 1998 to 2005.
The second generation was produced from 2006 to 2014.
The third generation, which we have already test-driven in an episode of Special Coverage program, started in 2015 and was stopped this year.
The fourth and all-new generation of Carnival that we are talking about in this article, which will reach the global markets later this year, God willing.

After looking at the first images of the new generation of Kia minivan, we notice that this vehicle has a dynamic design with a modern spirit that attract families, through a new stylish a “tiger nose” grille surrounded from both sides by slim LED headlamps with elegant design. Chrome is heavily used in the exterior, and we also notice a huge front bumper with a shortened hood.
Kia extended the wheelbase of this vehicle, which provided an additional length that can be seen especially when looking at the new carnival from the side. Also, this new generation Kia got a roof design called the “island roof” and was equipped with black A-pillars and B-Pillars in, while the C Pillar comes with a chrome cover with diamond stripes.
From the back, the new 2021 Kia Carnival design is complete with new LED rear lights, and there are also sharp lines and metal accents on the bumper.
The car will likely be equipped with a turbocharged 2.5-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 277 hp and 421 Nm of torque, and it may also be available with a hybrid version that combines a 1.6-liter 4-cylinder engine with an electric motor powered by a 1.5 kWh lithium-ion battery., to produce 227 hp and 350 Nm.
