An Impressive Bugatti Replica!
A car mechanic went to social media, specifically Facebook, to show the stages of building a fake version of the one-off car, Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo
For those who do not remember, the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo concept car was launched at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015, that is, a little more than 5 years ago. Our colleagues Suhaib Shashaa was there and met in person this supercar that paved the way for the design of Chiron, which was launched at the Geneva motor show in 2016 to replace Bugatti Veyron.
This French concept is inspired by the history of racing cars that Bugatti made in the past, specifically the models that participated in the 24-hour Le Mans endurance race during the twenties and thirties of the last century, and it got a blue exterior derived from the Bugatti Type 57 Tank that won Le Mans race in 1937 and 1939.
And now you can watch a sped-up video showing how a car mechanic created a replica of the French supercar:
Although it hasn’t reached the production line, this Bugatti concept prompted this ambitious mechanic in an East Asian country to manufacture a full-size replica of it, and it’s the first time a replica is made of the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo.
While the original Bugatti concept car comes with a carbon fiber exterior, this fake car comes with a body made from pieces of sheet metal that have been expertly welded! What made us sincerely impressed by this replica, is that it was created using basic tools
The process of making this car took about 4 months of work; the mechanic started by building the chassis of this fake Bugatti, and then he installed the engine and transmission directly behind the cabin.
