G-Class Electric cars would make a huge competition for Tesla Model X
The German car manufacturer Mercedes-Benz has announced its plan to produce several fully electric cars, but will Mercedes-G electric be one of them? This is exactly what we will be talking about in this article.
But before digging deeper into this exciting subject for many of you dear ArabGT followers…
We would like to remind you that Frankfurt Motor Show 2019 witnessed the launch of Mercedes Vision EQS concept, where our colleague Suhaib Shashaa was present to tell you about this car, which paves the way for the upcoming Mercedes S-Class electric production vehicle.
As for the first information we have about the upcoming Mercedes G-Class electric production vehicles..
We obtained it through an official tweet published by Mr. Sascha Pallenberg, Head of Digital Transformation at Daimler, the owner of the Mercedes brand, based on official statements by Ola Källenius, Daimler’s CEO.
The Tweet confirms that The G Class is coming with a zero CO2 emissions fully electric version that doesn’t rely on petrol engines.
#Daimler CEO Källenius: ”There will be a zero-emission #EV version of the #MercedesBenz G-Class. In the past there were discussions whether we should eliminate the model, the way I see things now I’d say the last Mercedes to be built will be a G-Class” #AMWKongress #eMobility pic.twitter.com/tAS6tzpR3Y

As you might already know, Mercedes-Benz has launched its EQ division, which represents the production section for the electric vehicles in its fleet. This section currently produces only the Mercedes EQC electric crossover that has already been test-driven by our colleague Suhaib Shashaa.
The production versions of the Mercedes EQS, an electric S-Class as we mentioned at the beginning of the news, will be introduced later, and the new details confirm the arrival of Mercedes G-Class fully electric cars.
The German car giant has invested a fortune of US $ 11 billion to establish its EQ division, and the plan includes that this section will control 10 different electric models in the market by 2022.
As soon as we have other official information about the Mercedes G-Class electric cars we will provide it you immediately, God willing!
