A decision has been made about the new 2021 Ford Focus RS as published in Autocar’s latest report, which included some statements made by officials in the American company. According to these statements, the new generation of this sporty hatchback will not be manufactured.
Before we talk about the Ford Focus RS, we would like to remind you that our colleague Mousub Shashaa had previously test-driven the all-new fourth generation of Ford Focus in one episode of Special Coverage program when he was in southern France.
The new official information confirms that a new 2021 Ford Focus RS will not be made, and this decision is due to the high cost of developing the new generation of the RS version. In addition to this, the high-performance version of Ford Focus has recorded low sales recently.

Another important reason behind Ford’s decision to stop making the new Focus RS model is the high percentage of carbon dioxide emissions issued by the American car, and with the new strict European standards, the American automaker is obliged to develop a hybrid system for its high-performance hatchback if it wants to keep producing it, which will cost too much.
As a reminder, the 2015 RS is powered by a 2.3-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates 345 hp and 440 Nm of torque. This four-wheel-drive vehicle accelerates from zero to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds and has a top speed of 266 km / h.
The price of the Fox RS in its latest model starts from $ 35,730, equivalent to 134,000 Saudi riyals.
On the other hand, the current 2020 Ford Focus is powered by a 1.5-liter 3-cylinder EcoBoost engine with a power of 180 hp and 240 Newton meters of torque, and the price of this car starts from $ 29,400, equivalent to 110,250 SAR.
