We’ll show you a video revealing the reaction of the new Corvette when it competes against the Mustang Shelby GT500, which is considered the most powerful Ford car ever, in a speed race that was held on a drag race track.
We all agree that there is a good power difference between the Corvette C8 Z51 and the Shelby GT500, as the Shelby GT500 has 265 hp in its favor, but that did not prevent the new Corvette from making a worthy-watching attempt.
Watch The Video:
The challenge included two attempts, the first of which included a race from zero, and the new Corvette impressed us with its quick start, but in the end, it was overtaken by the most powerful Mustang car, traveling at a speed of 193 km / h (120 mph).
In the second attempt, the two cars started the race at a speed of 64 km / h (40 mph), and without a doubt, the win was taken by the Ford Mustang Shelby GT500.
This challenge was presented by the American tuning company Hennessy Performance, which confirmed to us earlier that it would work to supply the Corvette C8 with a twin-turbo, to have more horsepower than the legend Bugatti Veyron.
Mechanical Specifications of The new Corvette:
