Today, dear Arabs GT followers, we will talk about the fate of producing new Ford Fusion cars, according to information leaked on the Internet, and whether there will be a third generation of American mid-size sedan.
Before talking about the coming future, we would like to remind you that the production of Fusion cars started in August of 2005 as a 2006 model car, and the production of the first generation continued until 2012, while the second generation appeared in Detroit Auto Show 2012 as a 2013 model, and it is still produced until now.
We are sorry to tell you that that the end of the second generation of the Fusion model is very close.
According to what was published by Ford Authority website, the last version of Fusion will be produced on June 5, after less than a month from now, and these cars will reach the market on July 21, God willing.
If the leaked information were correct, this would mean the end of Ford Fusion production. The report also added that the latest version of this car will be a 2020 Fusion Police produced at Ford’s Hermosillo plant in Mexico.
In fact, this decision was expected after recording a significant weakness in car sales after the recent update to the Ford Fusion 2020, which included new options of colors, along with a redesigned front grille, bonnet, and headlamps, and the car also got fog lights in 2019.
Far from this decision, which is likely to be correct due to the decrease in the proportion of sales of sedans in the global markets, compared to the high demand for crossovers and SUV cars of all classes and sizes, we must remind you that Ford Fusion competes with Toyota Camry, Mazda 6, Hyundai Sonata, Kia Optima, Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Chevrolet Malibu.
