The star of today’s episode of Test Drive Program is Ferrari Portofino, the cheapest supercar in Ferrari’s line up. The car will be driven by our colleague Karim Deeb in today’s episode our dear Arab GT followers. Of course, it is not really cheap, as we are talking about a Ferrari car after all! But we mean a cheap price for a supercar!
As a reminder, Suhaib Shashaa has test-driven Ferrari Portofino in an episode of the Special Coverage program, when he was in the Italian city of Puglia. That was the first time we introduced the cheapest Ferrari, which was presented to replace Ferrari California T at Frankfurt Motor Show in 2017.
Meet the cheapest Ferrari:
Today’s star name derives from the name of the fishing village of Portofino, which contains beautiful resorts in Italy. This car can accommodate up to 4 passengers (the rear seat is very cramped), and it has a removable metal roof that can be opened or closed in only 14-seconds.
Ferrari Portofino Mechanical Specifications:
This Italian supercar is powered by a twin-turbo 3.9-liter V8 engine, which produces 590 hp (600 PS) and 760 Nm of torque. The engine is connected to a dual-clutch 7-speed automatic transmission.
The cheapest Ferrari comes with a rear-wheel-drive system and can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 3.5 seconds, and from zero to 200 km / h in 10.8 seconds, with a top speed of 320 km / h.
2020 Ferrari Portofino price in the United Arab Emirates starts from 234,750 USD, equivalent to 880,250 SAR or 862,050 AED, which makes it the cheapest Ferrari car as we said before. Ferrari Portofino competes against Mercedes-AMG GT-C, McLaren 570 and Aston Martin Vantage.
