After unveiling the 2020 Genesis GV80, the first production crossover in the lineup of the South Korean luxury brand, today we will introduce the all-new 2021 Genesis G80 sedan that debuted recently online, naturally because of fears over coronavirus outbreak, may Allah protect us all.
From the first look, we notice that the fascia of the new luxury sedan has a very similar design to the GV80’s, as we can see in the front grille and the quad headlight. Moreover, the external dimensions of the new Korean car increased compared to its previous generation
- Its length increased by 0.2 inches.
- Its width increased by 1.4 inches.
- It was lowered by 0.6 inches.
The Interior of the 2021 Genesis G80 offers high-quality materials that include wood, leather, and aluminum, the cabin also got a 12.3-inch 3D digital dashboard, and a massive 14.5-inch central infotainment display that supports the Apple Car Play and Android Auto.
Engine Options available for the 2021 Genesis G80:
- A turbocharged 4-cylinder 2.5-liter engine that generates 300 horsepower and 421 Nm of torque.
- A turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 engine producing 375 hp and 530 Nm of torque.
- A 2.2L 4-cylinder diesel engine with 207 hp.
This new car comes standard with a rear-wheel-drive system and can be requested with a four-wheel drive system.
The third generation of the G80 is based on a new chassis, which is the same used in the GV80, and Genesis says that aluminum accounts for about 19 percent of the new G80’s construction, which reduced the weight of the car by 110 kilograms compared to the previous generation. The new G80 also got automatic suspension systems that provide greater comfort for passengers.
The all-new Genesis G80 2021 is supposed to be available for sale in the market during the second half of this year, God willing.
