The Rise of Skywalker is scheduled to have its world premiere in Los Angeles Today
The German car company Porsche specialized in the manufacture of high-performance sports cars announced its cooperation with the Lucasfilm company; an American film and television production company that is a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Studios. Both companies joined forces in order to design a Tri-Wing spacecraft!
Before talking about this strange project that the German company Porsche is taking, we would like to remind you of our last adventure with Porsche cars, when we test-drove the all-new electric car 2020 Taycan, accompanied by Formula One former driver Mark Weber at Dubai Autodrome in UAE.
After announcing that 50% of porches car will be equipped with electric motors in 2025, it seems that the German sports car maker is turning to the space industry! The German company has co-designed a fantasy spaceship named Tri-Wing S-91x Pegasus Starfighter after two months of work. The spacecraft is specially designed to star in Star Wars movie franchise.
Porsche designers worked together with Lucasfilm design studio in San Francisco, California to create the 3-winged spacecraft, which was equipped with headlights inspired by Porsche Taycan, the first fully-electric production car from Porsche. The rear lights were also inspired by a number of Porsche cars, but the final result was so different than any Porsche vehicle you have ever seen!
The cockpit of this spacecraft derives its identity from the all-new 2020 Porsche 911 and Taycan, with some features inspired from previous Star Wars movies.
“This collaboration is an amazing opportunity to merge the design aesthetics of Porsche and Star Wars. I found it to be creatively challenging and extremely inspiring,” says Doug Chiang, Vice President and Executive Creative Director for Lucasfilm.
The spaceship Pegasus Starfighter is supposed to participate in the promotion of the next Star Wars movie: The Rise of Skywalker, which will be released theatrically on December 20 in the United States
