Today we will introduce a new bulletproof SUV presented by INKAS Armored Vehicle Manufacturing, which is a leading Canadian-based company that specializes in the design and production of a wide range of armored vehicles, to suit the needs of VIPs, politicians, and businessmen.
Perhaps it is more common to see armored cars produced by companies such as Bentley, Mercedes, BMW, Audi, etc… but today we will introduce an armored 2020 Infiniti QX80 that got BR6 protection level, which means it can withstand the 7.62 caliber bullets as well as two DM51 hand grenades.
The Canadian company equipped the Large SUV with high-quality multi-layer bullet resistant glass, reinforced door hinges and other critical structure points, and protection for the battery and electronic control module. The suspension was reinforced to withstand the extra weight, and the car was also equipped with run-flat devices.
The Infiniti QX80 did not get any mechanical improvements in its bullet-proof version, as it is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.6-Liter V8 that generates 400 hp and 560 Nm of torque, and this beating heart is connected to a 7-speed automatic transmission.
The price of the armored QX80 from Inkas has not bee announced, but it will surely be a 6-figure price, which means it will be more than 100 thousand US dollars, equivalent to 375,000 Saudi riyals, since the price of the regular 2020 Infiniti QX80 starts from 66,750 US dollars, equivalent to 250,312 Saudi riyals while the price of The Limited trim-level is 91,450 USD, equivalent to 342,937 SAR.
The price of the bulletproof SUV might even go higher if you choose some of the optional equipment and accessories, which include a light-weight armoring package, emergency lights system, siren/PA/Intercom system, fire suppression system, heavy-duty brake system and components, and heavy-duty wheels.
