Today’s episode of Test Drive, presented t by our colleague Karim Deeb, shows a comparison between the regular 2020 Hyundai Veloster and the Turbo version.
And before we meet the two Veloster versions, we want to remind you that Hyundai planned for this three-door hatchback in 2007 when a concept car named HND 3 was revealed, then the first generation of Hyundai Veloster debuted at Detroit Auto Show in 2011, and today we are test-driving the second generation of Hyundai Veloster that appeared at the Detroit Auto Show in 2018.

Mechanical specifications of the 2020 Hyundai Veloster:
The regular car is powered by a naturally aspirated 2-liter 4-cylinder engine generating 147 hp and 179 Newton meters of torque. The engine is connected to a 6-speed automatic gearbox or a manual 6-speed gearbox, and the car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km / h in 9.6 seconds.
The 2020 Veloster Turbo 2020 comes with a turbocharged 4-cylinder 1.6-liter engine that generates 201 horsepower and 265 Newton meters of torque. The engine is connected to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox or a manual 6-speed gearbox. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.4 seconds with automatic transmission and in 7.8 seconds if requested with manual transmission.
Veloster Turbo can travel 15.9 km per liter of gasoline, while the regular version needs 15.5 km with one liter of gasoline.

- The price of the standard 2020 Hyundai Veloster starts from $ 19,650, equivalent to SAR 73,750 or AED 72,240.
- The price of Veloster Comfort fitted with a 2,000 cc engine as seen in today’s episode is 21,950 USD, which equals 82,350 SAR or 80,640 AED.
- The price of the 2020 Veloster Turbo is 26,800 USD, which equals 100,550 SAR or 98,490 AED.
