A Defect In Lamborghini Urus Prompts the Company To Issue A Recall

It was recently announced that a manufacturing defect in Lamborghini Urus cars was discovered, which led to a recall issued by the Italian company for 2,831 copies of this model surrounded by potential problems.

Now let’s talk about the details that have been officially revealed so far about discovering a manufacturing defect in the Lamborghini Urus, the second SUV car the Italian company made in its history.

Whereas, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration in North America announced a recall campaign for 2,831 copies of 2019 and 2020 models of Lamborghini Urus, due to the possibility of a fuel tank leak that could lead to a fire in this high-performance SUV. No accident has been recorded due to this defect so far.

This problem that some Lamborghini Urus may be exposed to will be solved by replacing the fuel line and the fast connector, and the recall campaign will start from December 18, God willing.

As a reminder, the Urus is mechanically powered by a 4-liter V8 engine with a twin-turbo generating 641 hp (650 PS) and 850 Newton meters of torque. The engine is connected to a dual-clutch 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, and the 2,200 kg four-wheel-drive car can accelerate from zero to 100 km / h in 3.6 seconds and has a top speed of 305 km / h.

It is also worth noting that Urus sold 8,205 copies in 2019, and it t is expected to sell even more during 2020, despite the global closures that have caused economic hardships for most of the planet’s population due to the spread of the coronavirus that causes Covid-19 disease
