2020 Genesis GV80 Officially Revealed Online

After its images were leaked online, the new Genesis GV80 2020, the first Korean luxury SUV, was officially launched on the Internet.

And previously confirmed by the Korean company Genesis, this new vehicle will be a mid-size model between a larger SUV, which will carry the name of Genesis GV90, and a smaller one called Genesis GV70.

Genesis GV80 design was inspired from its concept version that appeared more than two years ago at New York Auto Show in 2017. We can see the similarity between the production car and the concept car in the front end, namely in the large triangular front grille surrounded by horizontal headlights.

We notice that the most luxurious Korean SUV got sharp lines and air intakes in the front, in order to provide better cooling for the engine. The car also got chrome accents surrounding the side windows and it is equipped with huge 22-inch rims. At the rear, the car has horizontal thin rear lights, the same design used for the headlights, and there is a small integrated spoiler.

The body structure of Genesis GV80 is enhanced with hot-stamped, high-strength steel, as well as lightweight aluminum used on the doors, hood, and tailgate that allow it to achieve competitive curb weight.

The interior of GV80 is characterized by the elegant South Korean architectural philosophy. Soft materials cover every surface, from the inside of the door handles to the quilted knee pads that line the lower sides of the console. 14.5-inch, split-screen infotainment display sits front atop the dashboard and the number of hard buttons and switches was intentionally kept to a minimum.
