Today’s episode of Test Drive Program is a Korean luxury car with a youthful spirit, Genesis G70 2019. This detailed test-drive with Karim Deeb was filmed with some of our GT followers when we were recently in Saudi Arabia.
This is certainly not the first time we test-drive the Korean luxury brand Genesis, which is a separate Hyundai brand that was launched 4 years ago, on November 4, 2015. We have already test-drove the Genesis G70 in 2018 when it reached our Arab markets.
This luxurious Korean car has a distinctive and elegant exterior design with flowing lines and aggressive touches. Genesis G70 front end features a large silver chrome front grille surrounded by linear LED headlights and muscular hood design.
The 2019 Genesis has pronounced air intakes and is highlighted by dark chrome. The sidelines further express the unique design of Genesis, while in the rear we see the LED combination lamps which continue the quad theme, and the oval exhaust tips on each side with black accents.
For those who want a further sporty design, there is A sport version of the 2019 Genesis G70 that adds a gray front grille, sport rims, and some touches to distinguish the car with red Brembo brakes.
The 2019 Genesis G70 is available with two engine options:
A turbocharged 4-liter engine generating 252 hp and 353 Nm of torque, with which the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 5.9 seconds.
ِAnd a twin-turbo 3.3-liter V6 engine generating 365 horsepower and 510 Nm of torque.
The 1.830 kg rear-wheel-drive car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 4.7 seconds, and the 1,900 kg all-wheel-drive version SUV reaches 100 km / h in 5.2 seconds and has a top speed of 270 km / h.
Both engines are connected to an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
